ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has taken notice of media and social media reports claiming alleged targeted deportations of Pakistani citizens from the United Arab Emirates, terming such claims speculative and misleading.
In an official statement, the ministry said that after reviewing available data and facts, such reporting is “baseless, malicious, and part of propaganda driven by vested interests.”
The ministry clarified that no country, including the UAE, is carrying out any nationality- or sect-based deportation policy against Pakistani citizens.
It further explained that deportations, where they occur, are part of routine legal procedures carried out by host countries in cases involving violations of visa rules, overstay, or illegal documentation.
The statement emphasized that Pakistani workers continue to travel and obtain employment visas in the UAE and other friendly countries based on legal requirements, without discrimination.
The ministry also rejected social media claims suggesting otherwise, calling them fabricated and intended to spread misinformation.
It added that any issues involving Pakistani nationals abroad are addressed through established diplomatic channels by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan on a case-by-case basis with relevant authorities.
