Joni Lamb passes away at 65 after private health battle

Joni Lamb the longtime president and co-founder of Daystar Television Network has passed away at the age of 65, leaving the global Christian broadcasting community in deep sorrow.

The network confirmed her death on May 7, 2026, stating that she had been privately dealing with ongoing and serious health challenges for some time. According to the official statement her condition worsened in the final days following complications linked to a recent back injury.

Daystar explained that Joni had been facing multiple medical issues which were further intensified by the injury ultimately leading to a critical decline in her health. Despite continuous medical care and prayers from supporters around the world, her condition continued to deteriorate.

Following Marcus Lamb’s death, her children became actively involved in the network’s operations, continuing the family’s leadership role within the ministry and maintaining its global outreach.
