Pakistani forces defeat larger enemy on all fronts, says DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has congratulated the nation on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, stating that Pakistan successfully countered and defeated an adversary “five times larger” across multiple domains, while rejecting what he termed India’s “false terrorism narrative.”

Addressing a joint press conference alongside senior officials of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy, the military spokesperson said the anniversary reflects a defining moment in which Pakistan delivered a decisive and coordinated response against a significantly stronger adversary.

He said Pakistan’s armed forces, under the strategic guidance of the military leadership, effectively countered India in a multi-domain environment. He explained that modern warfare is no longer limited to traditional battlefields, but extends across land, sea, air, cyberspace, electronic warfare, and the cognitive domain where narratives and perceptions also play a critical role.

Referring to the Pahalgam incident, the DG ISPR said India blamed Pakistan within minutes without conducting any investigation. He maintained that New Delhi has a history of promoting narratives linking Pakistan to terrorism without presenting credible evidence.

He added that even after one year, India has failed to provide proof, while allegations regarding India’s involvement in sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan have further weakened its narrative.

He also alleged that India resorted to false-flag operations to support its claims, stating that certain Indian political figures appeared “more like warmongers than politicians.”

He reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to peace and stability in the region, while the Kashmir dispute remains an internationally recognised unresolved issue under United Nations resolutions.

The DG ISPR stressed that Pakistan was fully prepared a year ago and continues to maintain complete readiness across all operational domains, including cyber and electronic warfare. He further said that national unity remained strong, with the country standing united from Kashmir to Gwadar beyond all social and regional differences.

In parallel remarks, senior officials from the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force shared operational assessments.

During a press conference Air Vice Marshal Tariq Mahmood Ghazi said Pakistan established an “8-0 score” within minutes during “Marka-e-Haq,” claiming that eight Indian aircraft were shot down while India was still trying to understand what had happened.

He stated that the confirmed aircraft destroyed included four Dassault Rafale jets, one Sukhoi Su-30, one Mikoyan MiG-29, one Dassault Mirage 2000, and one multi-role unmanned system.

The Air Vice Marshal further said that Pakistan came under attack on the night of May 6 and 7, adding that cyberattacks were disrupting Indian communications during the confrontation.

He claimed that Pakistan’s armed forces had significantly restricted India’s operational capabilities, while the Pakistan Air Force closely monitored every movement of the adversary and tracked its digital footprint throughout the operation.

Air Vice Marshal Tariq Mahmood Ghazi added that the enemy could not even attempt to approach Pakistan’s borders.

Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Shafaat Ali Khan said India had long projected its naval capabilities, but despite being fully equipped, it did not demonstrate aggression.

He stated that attempts to deploy naval formations were monitored and effectively contained, while Pakistan’s coastal installations and ports remained secure and fully operational. He emphasized that Pakistan seeks peace but will not compromise on its sovereignty under any circumstances.

Deputy Chief of Air Staff said that tri-services operational frameworks were effectively implemented, with the Pakistan Air Force maintaining continuous surveillance of enemy activity. He added that a strong defensive posture along the border prevented any hostile approach, while digital monitoring tracked all adversary movements.

He stated that on April 29, four Rafale aircraft attempted to enter the Kashmir region but were immediately intercepted and forced to withdraw. He further said the PAF cyber division also targeted Indian data infrastructure as part of its operational response.

He claimed that the Pakistan Air Force achieved significant operational success, including the downing of seven Indian aircraft and the neutralisation of an unmanned aerial vehicle, describing the outcome as an operational “0–8” scoreline.

Concluding the briefing the DG ISPR said national security remains a top priority in the evolving global environment. He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces, with the support of the people, remain fully committed to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.
