Ishaq Dar praises national unity on Marka-e-Haq anniversary

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the unity shown by the nation during Marka-e-Haq remains Pakistan’s greatest strength describing it as more than just a date on the calendar but a symbol of courage, unity, and unwavering resolve.

In his message on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq he said the occasion represents a defining moment in the country’s national history.

He paid tribute to the people of Pakistan as well as the officers and personnel of the armed forces, commending their role and sacrifices.

He stated that national unity has always been the key strength of Pakistan, adding that no external force can weaken a nation that stands together.

Referring to the events of Marka-e-Haq, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan responded decisively under the leadership of the Field Marshal exercising its right to self-defence against aggression. He added that multiple military targets, including enemy aircraft, were successfully engaged.

He further stated that Pakistan has consistently conveyed a clear message to the world that its sovereignty is non-negotiable. Through active diplomatic engagement the country has effectively presented its position on the international stage.

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized that sustainable peace in South Asia is not possible without the resolution of core disputes, particularly the Kashmir issue, in accordance with United Nations resolutions.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace while maintaining a strong and principled stance on national security, stating that any threat to the country’s sovereignty will be met with a decisive response.

He also expressed confidence that Pakistan will continue to progress in key sectors including the economy and education.
