LPG rates reduced in Pakistan

The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas has been reduced for the month of May in Pakistan, giving slight relief to consumers despite ongoing regional tensions.

According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the price of LPG has been decreased by 31 paisa per kilogram.

After this change, the cost of an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has decreased by Rs3.69. The new price per kilogram is Rs303.81, while the price of a domestic cylinder is now Rs3,584.90.

The regulator said these new prices will remain in effect throughout May.

This reduction comes during uncertainty in regional markets, but authorities have passed the benefit of the price cut on to consumers.
