
TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has intensified diplomatic outreach, briefing his counterparts from several countries on Tehran’s stance and efforts aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
According to Iran’s state news agency Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian foreign minister held telephone conversations with top diplomats from Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, Iraq, and Azerbaijan to discuss the evolving regional situation.
During these engagements, Araghchi shared Iran’s principled position on a ceasefire and outlined measures taken by Tehran to de-escalate tensions and resolve the conflict.
The discussions also covered broader regional developments and the need for coordinated diplomatic efforts.
In a separate call, Sergey Lavrov reaffirmed Moscow’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region. Both sides agreed that joint efforts are essential to achieving lasting stability.
Additionally, Araghchi held talks with Kaja Kallas, focusing on regional security and exploring avenues for resolving the crisis through international cooperation.
These diplomatic contacts are part of Iran’s broader strategy to engage regional and global powers, prevent further escalation, and work toward a coordinated framework for ending the conflict.
