Hot and humid conditions persist as Karachi endures ongoing heat spell

Karachi: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) the city continues to experience a severe heatwave which is expected to persist until Monday.

The suspension of sea breezes has further intensified hot weather conditions across the metropolis.

The PMD stated that today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 28°C while the current temperature stands at 31°C. The maximum temperature is likely to remain between 36°C and 38°C.

High humidity levels of 72% are making the heat feel 2 to 3 degrees more intense than the actual temperature. Westerly winds are currently blowing at a speed of 8 km/h, while the sky is expected to remain mostly clear throughout the day with no chance of rain.
