Kairi drink gains popularity as natural cooling and weight loss aid

As temperatures rise, people adopt various methods to stay cool and manage weight, but health experts suggest that a simple homemade solution raw mango (kairi) drink can be highly effective.

The traditional beverage made from unripe mangoes is believed to help reduce body heat while offering several health benefits.

It is particularly known for supporting digestive health during the summer season, when issues such as indigestion, constipation, nausea, and acidity become more common.

Preparation involves boiling pieces of raw mango in water and then adding ingredients such as cumin powder, fennel powder, mint leaves, and fresh coriander.

A small amount of jaggery may also be added for taste, although those aiming for weight loss are advised to avoid it.

The drink can be consumed twice daily. Since it is prepared using warm water, it is considered gentle on the throat while still providing a cooling effect on the body.

Experts say the beverage not only helps regulate body temperature but also improves digestion, making it a popular natural aid for weight management during hot weather.
