LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi convened a high-level meeting at Gaddafi Stadium to assess Pakistan’s preparations for upcoming international and domestic cricket commitments.

Discussions primarily revolved around Pakistan’s home series against South Africa and Sri Lanka, as well as foreign tours to the West Indies and Bangladesh. In a key decision, officials stressed the need to take steps aiming to strengthen the local circuit and cultivate future talent.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of domestic cricket, stating that maximum competition exposure to players would help young cricketers develop their skills. The meeting also initiated discussions on central contracts, ensuring that player commitments and support systems align with upcoming competitive fixtures.

Attendees included Head Coach Mike Hesson, Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, team manager Naveed Akram Cheema, Director of High Performance Centers Aaqib Javed, and Pakistan team captain Salman Ali Agha. Recently, Pakistan delivered an emphatic performance, securing a 3-0 clean sweep against Bangladesh in the T20I series.
