
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level and significant meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah during his official visit to the Kingdom.
Both leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions on regional developments, bilateral relations, investment opportunities, and strategic cooperation.
The meeting, held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, lasted nearly two hours and was attended by a senior Pakistani delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and other key officials.
During the talks Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep condolences over the loss of precious lives in recent regional tensions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Saudi counterparts in challenging times.

The Prime Minister commended the Kingdom’s leadership for demonstrating “exemplary patience and restraint” amid the evolving Middle East situation, noting that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s prudent leadership continues to play a vital role in promoting peace and stability across the region.
During the meeting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also briefed the Saudi Crown Prince on Pakistan’s recent diplomatic and peace-building efforts, including developments that contributed to the US–Iran ceasefire and the historic round of talks between the United States and Iran held in Islamabad.
The Crown Prince appreciated the constructive and proactive role played by Pakistan’s leadership, particularly Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in advancing regional peace initiatives.
Both leaders held detailed discussions on bilateral relations, trade, and investment, reaffirming their shared commitment to further strengthening the longstanding and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed sincere appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued and vital support toward Pakistan’s economic stability, describing it as deeply valued.
Highlighting the depth of the relationship, the Prime Minister noted that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a unique and enduring partnership based on faith, trust, and mutual respect, further reinforced through strategic defence cooperation under the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement.
In a separate statement, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar described the meeting as marked by “warmth, brotherhood, and a shared vision for a stronger Pakistan–Saudi Arabia partnership,” adding that both sides explored avenues to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah as part of a broader multi-country tour that includes visits to Qatar and Türkiye. He was received at the airport by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region, along with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
During his visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, he is scheduled to hold further meetings with leadership to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional peace and security.
As part of the tour, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also visit Türkiye to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he is expected to participate in the Leaders Panel and present Pakistan’s perspective on key global and regional issues.
On the sidelines, he is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other world leaders.
The visit underscores Pakistan’s continued diplomatic engagement with key regional partners and highlights its commitment to promoting peace, stability, and constructive dialogue at both regional and global levels.
