The National Database and Registration Authority has made it easier for parents to apply for their children’s B-Form, also known as the Child Registration Certificate (CRC), from home. Parents can now use the Pak-ID app to submit applications online, so they no longer need to visit NADRA offices.
According to the new rules, children from birth up to three years old do not need to provide a photograph. However, once a child turns three, a photo becomes necessary. For children between the ages of 10 and 18, biometric verification, including fingerprints and iris scans, will also be required to improve the identification process.
Parents have appreciated this new facility, saying it is very helpful as schools often require B-Forms during exams, and applying from home makes the process much easier.
The B-Form fee in normal category stands at Rs50 with 7 days processing time. The executive fee stands at Rs500 and this type of application is processed in one day only.
