Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has shared a deeply symbolic image from his flight to Pakistan on social media platform X, drawing international attention and emotional reactions.
The picture showed aircraft seats arranged with photographs and school bags of children, reportedly referring to victims of the Minab school attack. In his message, Qalibaf described these images as his “companions” during the journey, highlighting the emotional weight carried by the delegation.
According to reports, the reference relates to an incident in Minab where 168 people were killed during a missile strike in the early phase of the conflict. The tragedy, which included schoolchildren, has been repeatedly cited by Iranian officials in recent diplomatic engagements.

The Iranian parliamentary delegation, led by Qalibaf, is currently visiting Pakistan for high-level talks. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is also accompanying the delegation, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated that a high-level team has been dispatched for talks in Islamabad, which includes JD Vance, Jared Kushner, and Steve Witkoff, signaling growing international involvement in the discussions.
Separately, reports indicate that the aircraft carrying the Iranian delegation has been symbolically named after the Minab incident, referring to the “Minab 168” designation used for the victims of the attack.
The incident continues to draw attention as it underscores the emotional and political dimensions surrounding the ongoing diplomatic engagements in Islamabad, where multiple global stakeholders are now converging for negotiations.
