Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, extending heartfelt greetings to both the President and the brotherly Iranian people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Nowruz.
President Pezeshkian warmly reciprocated the Prime Minister’s sentiments and conveyed his best wishes for the people of Pakistan.
Amid the ongoing regional tensions, the Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives and offered prayers for the speedy recovery and safety of the injured and affected Iranian citizens.

He also conveyed serious concern over the escalating situation in the Gulf region, emphasizing the urgent need for de-escalation through dialogue and diplomacy, and highlighting the importance of unity and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah.
Prime Minister Sharif briefed President Pezeshkian on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in promoting peace and stability across the region.
