Mojtaba Khamenei urges Pakistan‑Afghanistan linkage amid crisis

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei further noted that Iranian public unity would thwart the ambitions of enemies.

TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on Saturday stated that national unity will force enemies to retreat.

Addressing the nation, Khamenei said that the country has continued both fasting and jihad, thanking Allah that the adversary has been weakened.

He emphasized that foreign powers aim to disrupt Iran’s relations with neighboring countries, highlighting that Pakistan holds particular importance for Iran.

Khamenei proposed that he wants Pakistan and Afghanistan to strengthen their bilateral relations, offering Iran’s role as a mediator between the two countries.

He further noted that Iranian public unity would thwart the ambitions of enemies, specifically United States and Israel, and that with societal cohesion, adversaries will be defeated.

Earlier, Mojtaba Khamenei, the newly elected Supreme Leader of Iran, has delivered his first message after assuming the leadership.

In an audio address, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei vowed that the blood of martyrs would be avenged and declared that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed to increase pressure on adversaries.

He said his new position carries significant responsibilities and emphasized that the Iranian people have shown the world they are a great nation. “Without the support of the people, my position holds no value,” he added.

The Iranian Supreme Leader stated that enemies are targeting the Iranian nation and stressed that the country must defeat its adversaries. He reiterated that Iran would not relinquish its right to avenge the blood of martyrs and that national unity among Iranians would remain strong.
