A disturbing new scandal has emerged from the Duggar family, as former 19 Kids and Counting star Joseph Duggar faces grave allegations of child abuse stemming from a 2020 incident.

Joseph Duggar, 31, has been charged in connection with an alleged incident that reportedly occurred during a family holiday in Panama City Beach, Florida.
According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Duggar faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor under the age of 12, as well as inappropriate conduct by an individual aged 18 or older.
Authorities allege that he asked the child to sit on his lap, covered them with a blanket, and engaged in inappropriate physical contact.
The case came to light following a forensic interview with the victim, who is now 14 years old. Investigators stated that the victim’s father later confronted Duggar regarding the allegations during which he allegedly admitted to the actions and expressed remorse.
Duggar was taken into custody on March 18, 2026, and is currently being held at the Washington County jail in Arkansas. He is awaiting extradition to Florida, where he is expected to face formal legal proceedings.
The case has drawn renewed attention to the Duggar family, which has previously faced legal scrutiny. Duggar’s brother, Josh Duggar, was convicted in 2022 on charges related to child sexual abuse material and is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence.
