Beyoncé makes history as most Grammy nominated artist

Beyonce leads the Grammy 2025 nominations list with 11 nominations

Beyoncé is leading the Grammy nominations 2025 by becoming the most nominated artist in the show’s history.

With the new 11 nominations for coming year’s awards, Queen Bey has a total of 99 nominations under her belt.

The 43-year-old pop superstar’s album Cowboy Carter is nominated for album of the year and country album of the year categories.

Whereas the Texan native’s hit track Texas Hold ‘Em is nominated for record, song, and country song of the year.

The Diva hitmaker gathered nominations from a wide array of genres including pop, country, Americana, and melodic rap performance categories.

This marks the 32-time-Grammy winner’s first time nominations in country and Americana categories.

Beyoncé potential win in the album of the year category will crown her as the first black woman to take the prize in the 21st century.

The last black woman to receive the honour was Lauryn Hill in 1999 for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, joining Natalie Cole and Whitney Houston as the only black women to have received the Grammys’ top award.

Following Beyoncé’s lead stands Post Malone with seven nominations, along with Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Charli XCX.

Malone also received his first ever country nomination this year, after releasing his debut country album F-1 Trillion in August.

The album is nominated for country album category, while I Had Some Help, his collaborative song with Morgan Wallen, is nominated for country song and country duo/group performance.

Other big names in pop industry that ruled the charts this year, Taylor Swift and first-time nominees Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan received six Grammy nominations each, following last year’s trend of women artists dominating the major categories.
