Jelly Roll is taking a break from social media once again, calling out X (formerly Twitter) as the “most toxic” platform online.
The rapper-turned-country star, born Jason Bradley DeFord, vented his frustrations in a pointed tweet on Sunday, October 20.
“This is for sure the most toxic negative app to exist ever — PERIOD. lol,” Jelly Roll, 39. Tweeted, adding, “This place is different man, I always heard it was the Wild West on here but man it’s insane.”
He described X as a “safe place” for users to hurl insults without any consequences and concluded, “I’m out lol.”
Notably, however, his X account still remains active a few hours his post.
This isn’t the first time the Save Me singer has stepped away from social media. Back in April, he quit after being bullied about his weight, with his wife Bunnie XO explaining his decision.
“He is so tired of being bullied about his f***ing weight, and that makes me want to cry, because he is the sweetest angel baby,” she said at the time.
Reflecting on his hiatus, Jelly Roll later told Variety that social media wasn’t just toxic but also addictive, taking up too much of his time as he scrolls for hours.
“I’ve never felt better or healthier mentally — never felt more clear headed,” he said of his time offline.
