And so, as the mirrors carry and amplify energies, it is best if they are cleansed regularly to prevent an evil energy from entering your space. So, it is believed and advised that when you buy a new mirror, it is best to wipe it down well with a clean cloth and mix some holy water into regular water.
Along with this, in some cultures, people properly smudge a new mirror with sage and incense. To cleanse the mirrors spiritually, they simply burn a sage bundle and keep it in front of the mirror, allowing it to absorb the cleansing energy.
