Though many Chhole Bhature shops can be found in Bhopal’s New Market, Anubhav’s shop stands out.
“My grandfather started this Punjabi Chhole Bhature shop about 60 years ago. He opened this small establishment after moving to Bhopal from Ludhiana, Punjab. Later, my father took over the shop and began teaching me when I was in Class 4. Now, I manage the shop,” he told Local18.
Anubhav further said that between the 1970s and 1980s, Chhole Bhature was sold in New Market for just 60 to 70 paise. However, due to rising inflation, the price of this delicious dish has increased significantly. Currently, a plate of Chhole Bhature here costs Rs 70.
