At least 10 police and security personnel were martyred in Balochistan on Friday night as India-backed terrorists launched coordinated attacks at 12 locations across the province, security sources reported on Saturday. In response, the security forces successfully neutralized 37 militants, with operations ongoing at multiple sites.
According to officials, the attacks were carried out by the group Fitna‑e‑Hindustan in Quetta, Noshki, Dalbandin, Pasni, and Gwadar. Security forces, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, swiftly foiled the attempts, preventing further casualties and destruction. Reports suggest additional terrorist casualties may be confirmed as operations continue.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif commended the professionalism and bravery of the security forces in responding to the coordinated assaults. He praised their decisive action in protecting the homeland and thwarting the designs of the terrorists.
Over the past 48 hours, security operations have eliminated a total of 88 terrorists, the Prime Minister noted, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region. He honored the ten martyrs who sacrificed their lives while defending the nation and prayed for the elevation of their ranks and patience for their families.
“I, along with the entire nation, am proud of our martyrs,” the Prime Minister said. “The officers and soldiers of the security forces are engaged in protecting the homeland without regard for their own lives. We will continue the war against the scourge of terrorism until its complete eradication from the country.”
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve, stating, “In the unwavering resolve to protect the homeland, I, along with the entire nation, stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces.”
Security sources have urged the public to remain vigilant and assured that all necessary measures are being taken to secure the affected areas.
