Two players to debut as Pakistan reveals playing XI for Perth Test

Pakistan has confirmed the inclusion of two Test debutants, Aamir Jamal and Khurram Shahzad, in their playing XI for the opening match of the ICC World Test Championship series in Perth, starting on Thursday.

Shan Masood, leading the team for the first time, has made a ring of changes in the team.

Aamir Jamal, who made his international debut a year ago against England, and Khurram Shahzad, a right-arm fast bowler, will be making their Test debuts.

Despite a year-long absence, Faheem Ashraf is back in the Test arena, and Sarfaraz Ahmed retains his position as Pakistan’s first-choice wicketkeeper over Mohammed Rizwan.

The opening combination of Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique remains unchanged, with the latter showing good form in the recently concluded ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
Babar Azam will continue batting at the number four position, and Salman Ali Agha has been entrusted with spin duties in the absence of the injured Abrar Ahmed.

The fast bowling attack will be spearheaded by Shaheen Afridi, with support from Faheem Ashraf.
