
KARACHI: The mild earthquake tremors were felt in the Quaidabad area of Karachi late at night and city has been experiencing a series of mild earthquakes since June 1.
According to Seismic Monitoring Center, the latest tremor was recorded at 1:45 AM. According to seismic monitoring data, the earthquake had a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale.
The depth of the tremor was recorded at just 10 kilometers, indicating a shallow quake. The epicenter was located approximately 8 kilometers southeast of the Malir area.
Following the tremors, panic spread among residents, prompting many to rush out of their homes in fear.
No casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
The city has been experiencing a series of mild earthquakes since June 1, with a total of 36 tremors reported between June 1 and June 12.
Authorities have not reported any casualties or significant damage as a result of these tremors, but the frequency of activity has raised concern among residents and experts alike.
