Shehbaz Sharif & Mohammed bin Salman discuss Palestine issue, agree to boost Pak-Saudi defence cooperation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, where they discussed the Palestine issue and agreed to strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Shehbaz Sharif arrived at the Qasr Al-Yamamah royal palace, where mounted royal guards escorted him as part of the official Saudi protocol. Mohammed bin Salman personally received him at the royal court, and the Saudi armed forces presented a guard of honour to the Pakistani prime minister.

Several senior Pakistani officials also attended the meeting, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Climate Change Minister Mussadiq Malik, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif landed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, where Deputy Governor Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, and other senior diplomats warmly welcomed him and his delegation.

The meeting highlighted the commitment of both countries to deepen their bilateral relations and work together on regional issues.
