
KARACHI: At least three terrorists affiliated with the banned outfit “Fitna al-Khawarij” were killed during an operation by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Manghopir area of Karachi.
According to CTD In-charge Raja Umar Khattab, the operation was conducted in collaboration with a security agency following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in a residential building.
During the raid, a fierce exchange of gunfire took place between the CTD personnel and the terrorists, resulting in the deaths of all three suspects on the spot.
The operation was launched based on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of Khawarij-linked terrorists in the area.
The CTD, the CTD, said that dead terrorists was identified by the name of Zafran and Qudratullah while the third terrorist is being identified.
According to the CTD in charge, the Sindh government had a reward of Rs 20 million on the terrorist Zafran involved in the attack on foreign nationals while the dead were a terrorist suicide bomber.
